Evangelist Calvin Evans
 

Dr. Calvin Evans (March 30, 1930 - January 11, 2006) was the founder of Evangelistic Outreach Ministries. He preached his first sermon in May, 1956. He pastored churches in Ohio and Kentucky before entering into full-time evangelism. Calvin Evans literally won thousand and thousands to the Lord Jesus Christ. His message never changed; he wanted people saved and nurtured in Christ and living for the Lord Jesus. Calvin Evans biggest concern was that the work of Evangelistic Outreach would go on after He was gone to Heaven. The Lord is continuing to bless and grow our ministry as we continue to reach the lost for Christ around the world.

One moment we see through a glass darkly; the next moment we are standing by the river on the other side. Dr. Calvin Evans of Evangelistic Outreach was the hero of many. Calvin Evans has graduated from this earth and thus promoted to Heaven. His impact upon our lives has been very significant, providing a consistent example of faithfulness to the Lord, even unto the end. One day, when Jesus takes us home, Calvin Evans will be there to welcome us. Together, we will worship Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
